Coral Hill Energy Ltd. (Coral Hill) was started in November of 2009 subsequent to the sale of Wave Energy Ltd. (Wave) to Crescent Point Energy Corp. The company was initially formed by the majority of the management team of Wave. The team had developed an approach to oil exploration while at Wave which they believed could be applied to additional areas of Saskatchewan and Alberta. This approach consisted of a four step process to finding new oil resource plays.
