The Management Team

The Board and Management of Coral Hill Energy Ltd. were selected from the team at Wave Energy Ltd. subsequent to Wave's sale. Wave was a private oil and gas company with operations in Western Canada and Montana. The Company’s philosophy was to acquire prospective land where oil had been discovered years ago but was uneconomic using the technology of the day. The Company pioneered the use of multistage completions into oil reservoirs in Saskatchewan turning uneconomic areas into highly productive resource plays. The Company drilled over 80 horizontal wells, increasing production to over 4,000 boe/day prior to selling to Crescent Point Energy Corp in October 2009.

Donald Rae, President and Chief Executive Officer

Mr. Rae has more than 30 years of diversified experience in the oil and gas industry. Mr. Rae was the President and Chief Executive Officer of Wave Energy Ltd; leading the company from 2005 through to its sale in 2009. Previously, Mr. Rae was Senior Vice President, Exploration at Penn West Petroleum Ltd., now Penn West Energy Trust (Penn West), and was part of the original management team that grew Penn West (1993-2005) from a less than 2,000 boe/d company to over 105,000 boe/d before its conversion to a Trust. Prior to Penn West, Mr. Rae held a variety of positions with intermediate and major oil and gas companies. Mr. Rae holds Bachelor of Science degrees in Mathematics and Geology from the University of Calgary.

Vernon Hoshizaki, Vice President, Operations

Mr. Hoshizaki has over 20 years experience as a professional engineer. He was Vice President of Operations at Wave Energy Ltd. Prior to Wave, Mr. Hoshizaki was the Manager of Completions at Penn West. He previously had held positions with Home Oil and Gulf Canada Resources Ltd. Mr. Hoshizaki holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering from the University of Calgary and is a professional engineer.

Mark Loberg, Vice President, Production

Mr. Loberg is a Professional Engineer with more than 20 years of oilfield experience. Most recently Mr. Loberg was Vice President Operations with Wave Energy Ltd., a private oil & gas company with operations in both Canada and the USA. Prior to Wave, Mr Loberg was employed by Penn West Petroleum as a Production Manager, BP Amoco, Canadian Fracmaster, BJ Services and at the Syncrude Operations in Ft McMurray. Mr Loberg holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering from the University of Alberta.

Wayne Laturnas, Vice President, Exploration

Mr. Laturnas has over 17 years of oil and gas industry experience. He held a Senior Exploration position at Wave Energy Ltd. Prior to Wave Energy, Mr. Laturnas was Exploration Manager at Morpheus Energy a private oil & gas company. From 1996 to 2003 he held positions with increasing responsibility to District Geologist with Penn West Petroleum. Mr. Laturnas holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Geology from the University of Saskatchewan and is a professional geologist.
