Kyle Kitagawa, Chairman

Mr. Kitagawa brings over 25 years experience in commodity trading, equity investing, and structured finance in both energy and energy intensive industries. Prior to April 2003, he held senior executive positions in a global energy trading and capital corporation. Currently, Mr. Kitagawa serves as Chairman of Canadian Energy Services & Technology Corp. and is a Director of Zargon Energy Trust. Prior directorships included Advanced Mobile Power Systems, LLC, Esprit Exploration Ltd., Ferus Trust, Independent Energy Ltd., Invasion Energy Inc., Livingston Energy Ltd., Papier Masson Ltee., ProspEx Resources Ltd., and Wave Energy Ltd.

He holds a Master of Business Administration degree from Queen's University, a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Calgary and is a Chartered Accountant

Donald Rae, President and Chief Executive Officer

Mr. Rae has more than 30 years of diversified experience in the oil and gas industry. Mr. Rae was the President and Chief Executive Officer of Wave Energy Ltd; leading the company from 2005 through to its sale in 2009. Previously, Mr. Rae was Senior Vice President, Exploration at Penn West Petroleum Ltd., now Penn West Energy Trust (Penn West), and was part of the original management team that grew Penn West (1993-2005) from a less than 2,000 boe/d company to over 105,000 boe/d before its conversion to a Trust. Prior to Penn West, Mr. Rae held a variety of positions with intermediate and major oil and gas companies. Mr. Rae holds Bachelor of Science degrees in Mathematics and Geology from the University of Calgary.

Bryan Clake, President, Joss Wind Power Inc.

Mr. Clake has over 25 years of experience in the energy industry. He was most recently Vice President, Corporate Development with Penn West Petroleum Ltd., now Penn West Energy Trust, and has held positions in a number of areas including engineering, marketing and business development with both Penn West and Petro Canada. He has a Bachelor’s of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Manitoba and a Master’s of Business Administration from the University of Calgary.

Hank Swartout, Independent Businessman

Mr. Swartout is a highly successful and entrepreneurial businessman with several decades of business experience. Until 2007 he was the Executive Chairman of Precision Drilling Trust, the largest drilling contractor in Canada and the third largest land-driller in the world. He provides expertise in advisory roles to numerous Alberta corporations including Highpine Oil & Gas Limited and Ferus Gas Industries. He is a director of several Alberta-based public and private corporations. Mr. Swartout holds a Petroleum Engineering diploma from the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology and a Bachelor’s of Petroleum Engineering (Hons.) from the University of Wyoming.

J Graham Weir, Independent Businessman

Mr. Weir is an independent businessman. From September 1990 to December 2000, he was a Vice President and Director of Corporate Finance for Goepel McDermid Inc., where he initiated and completed acquisitions, financing, financial advisory, merger and valuation assignments for oil and gas and service sector companies. Mr. Weir serves as a director of several companies including: Zargon Energy Trust, Graymont Limited, Grupo Calidra and Pulse Data Inc. Mr. Weir earned a Bachelor’s of Science in Mathematics from Trent University and a Master’s of Actuarial Mathematics from the University of Manitoba. Mr. Weir received the designation Chartered Business Valuator in 1994 and completed a Master’s of Science in Mathematical Finance at the University of Oxford in 2005.
